Better handling of generic units

Sometimes we are using “generic units” (for example, a recent model I did the functional unit was TWh-eq computing, so I had the uom be “unit” and the widget be “TWh-eq computing”). It shows up fine in the charts, but see screenshot for the way this is displayed in the dropdown menu; we probably want it to be using the widget somehow when the uom is literally “unit”.
